Why Gmail ROCKS
As some of you may or may not know Gmail has IMAP/POP3 capabilities. This isn't just for checking your Gmail account using Outlook, Incredimail or any of the other wonderful email clients out there. Gmail has the ability to receive mail from other email servers.
Imagine having all of your email in 1 place to access from Outlook, The Web, Your Cell, or PDA. This isn't hard at all with Gmail :)
Story Continues
For instance you could have Gmail pickup the mail from your work email account (and leave it on the server) then you can access the work email from anywhere. Have multiple accounts strewn all over the internet? Let Gmail bring them all together in one nice organized place. No more remembering logins or even bothering to check them. Its all automatic :)
HOW TO STOP SPAM (EASILY)
We all have the problem where we have to give an email address yet we don't want to give out our real one. I have a separate craigslist email account that I rotate after each sale. That way I don't have to use my real email address and give it to the spammers (or other strange people). Well Gmail has made that very easy. Here is what you do.
Go create a 2nd Gmail account. After creating it turn on the POP3 options in the 'settings'.
In your real (main) Gmail account go into the 'Settings' then click on 'Accounts' on the top. Now click on 'Add Another Mail Account' then follow through the steps. One of the steps will ask if you want to send mail from this account also. Click yes to be able to send mail from your "junk" account.

As you can see the E-Mail can even be tagged with the account it came from.
And that is why Gmail ROCKS!!!!!!
(did I mention free???)
